Why We Built This Site
New Mexico gives the public access to many court records, but the custodian is not always obvious. In De Baca County, District Court handles the broad trial-court files, Magistrate Court handles many misdemeanor, DWI/DUI, traffic, preliminary, landlord-tenant, and limited civil matters, Fort Sumner Municipal Court handles municipal ordinance and traffic matters, and Probate Court handles informal uncontested estates. The County Clerk is separate and is important for marriage-license records.
De Baca County is rural, and official record access may depend on direct clerk contact rather than a full local online portal.
